Florida Safety Framework Methodology

The Florida Department of Children and Families and Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program are hosting a training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.

Join us on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for Florida Safety Framework Methodology training, part of the Florida Department of Children and Families Child Protection Transformation Project.

The class will be presented by Carol Edwards, a training manager with Big Bend Community Based Care, and Atari Hall and Maryanne White with the Florida Department of Children and Families Field Services Division. A number of relevant topics will be discussed including

  • a transition model from investigations to foster care;
  • guided information collection around adult and child functioning;
  • increased advocacy for families; and
  • the consistent statewide methodology for determining child safety.
